Alright Here goes some ideas and this is by no means the be all end all. For engine power for easiest gains and least work bolt on headers, CAI, exhaust, umm for suspension just get it dialed in right but if you want good increases go for Coilovers (definitely not cheap unless you get em second hand from somewhere you trust 150%). If you wanna pull mad numbers Turbo your engine. Also depends on your car/truck

also it greatly depends on your car, Subaru for example are actually inhibited by a CIA alone, but after a few other mods, and a tune its great. where as a 99 eclipse will love a new CAI right off the bat. (suspension is more universal, all mods will help any car) since i see your a big Mitsubishi fan standard bolt on's will be the way to go

the cheapest thing you can buy to increase performance the most would be nos but its the worth for your car because there is no way to ever make your engine able take it so the best thing would be to save your money and get the job done right and get your engine built to low compression and turbocharge it.it will cost allot more but it will save even more money and trouble for you in the longrun.good luck with your mods

did a cop ever checked if you have nitrous hooked up to your intake? kinda doubt it..

You do know if a cop were to say hey i believe this car is illegally modified I wish to take a look under the hood he can say that due to probable cause he suspects your car is illegally modified and would like to either have it checked out or check himself (if he's qualified). and since it's probable cause he has the right to look. Do you really think it's worth the risk of having your car impounded the nos removed (if you're lucky) and facing a huge fine plus insurance issues? Honestly do you think your insurance company wouldn't find out about that? Chaching in their pocket. You're looking at fines, suspensions, repossessions and hugs insurance increases. Sure lets all do that and that way everyone can have NOS and pay over 10,000 a year for insurance.

depends... what kind of performance? if you just want better performance without much hassle, try : - get rid of spare tire and lighten the car's weight (at your own risk...) - check for loose and oxidized parts in engine's electrical cables.. (might as well install supplemental ground) - if the battery is located in the front, relocate to the trunk could make the balance a little better (how little depends on the car..) - increase the wheel size. the shorter the tire's sidewall, the better handling (stiffen the rides, your choice)
