Looking for location of the slave cylinder for the clutch on a 1996 Ford Escort

Asked by pdh7274 Jun 10, 2020 at 02:38 PM

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Clutch goes from being soft to a firm pedal and I suspect air is in the line, but I have not found the slave cylinder to bleed it down. Looking for help as the diagram on the Chilton's DIY program stinks at best.

Slave is always going to be close to the bell housing. Just need to determine if it is an internal or external slave. If it is internal, need to remove the transmission. But I do believe yours is external
