my brake lights don't work but tail lights work flashers work

Did you check voltage to and from brake switch? At the rear voltage for stop lamps shows to be red wire then black wire is ground, check them both. To get voltage, the brake pedal has to be activated. Voltage to brake switch shows to be orange wire, hot all the time.
