I have a 1961 chev n the starter just clicks but won't crank it over. It's a 283 in her n trying to get it running after like ten years or more of sitting. Any ideas??
Starter solenoid or locked up armature , hit the body of the starter a couple of times to free it up and give a try, if that doesn't work time for a new starter. If has been sitting for ten years, spray some WD-40 into the cylinders and physically turn it over by hand and don't start it with the oil that's in it, change that nasty stuff.
