i have a bent rod can i change my rods by taking the rockers off or do i have to tear the whole engine apart?

Yes you have to take the whole engine apart. I think you better have some one that knows what they are doing! If you think you are getting to the connecting rod through the top of the angine. You have no idea what your in for

Plus are you talking about a push rod or a connecting rod? makes a big differrance

Plus if it is a push rod? Why did it bend? You may want to look in to that first before you spend more money on it

What year and engine? That would help Ronc and the rest of us, kinda in the dark here. If you are talking about pushrods you need only take the rocker arm loose, not even off. What tappets? Solid or hydraulic? A frozen tappet aka lifter will bend a rod.
