what would cause the driver seat to be inoperative in the forward and reaward posiyions

drivers seat stuck in one position, will not move forward or rearward

Could be something stuck not allowing it to move, the motor failed or wiring is suspect.

Check the wire supplying the seat motor for wear. May be metal on metal causing fuse to short.
