Why does it keep showing my drivers door is open on my 2010 chevy truck?

My door controls won't work because it keeps showing my drivers door is
open, I need help.

Push and pull on handle and see if u notice play, if there is play, u need to adjust the locking latch on the door frame. If no play, then you'll need to check for loose connection or bad door lock switch
