Question type: Car Customization

I would like to know what some good upgrades on my 94 chevy would be
its a 5.7 350.

Im lookinfg for better mpg and a little more power and a nice purr.

I have heard of running headers into flowmaster super 10 and then through
a high flow cat to dual pipes is good for sound.

What else can I do?

Thanks for the help

I doubt that you would get any better gas mileage than you do now, but it sound like you want to do some. The exhaust would all be good, in-which you are talking, Holley makes a better TBI with bigger fuel injectors you could put on, and you could get a performance chip to install. But if you want to spend some money, then check this out, I built for my '95 Silverado,

You covered about 1/2 of what I put into that motor...It sits there at 400 hp. I just wish I would have put a 4-barrel fuel injected throttle body, with a stand alone computer on it when I had the money. Extra $2500 for that, probably why I didn't do it. lol.

jegs.com phone # 1-800-345-4545, call and subscribe to receive their free catalog. They send a new one about 4-5 times a year. But you need to know what you want to order, but they can help with what you want to do.

If you have low gearing in the truck now, changing the gearing could add some MPG if that is your main concern.

What do I change the gearing to? also what type of K & N filter? Then for the last question if i change injectors and get a chip am I going to need to get a different transmission

FIND OUT WHAT GEARS ARE IN YOUR TRUCK 3.73 IF THAT'S THE CASE GO TO 3.25 FOR BETTER MPG BUT YOU LOSE GET UP AND GO!
