Soft break pedal after starting only

Asked by Johntcfp Jun 08, 2018 at 05:19 PM about the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced a four foot piece of brake line in the front. Bleed the front brakes
many times. The pedal is hard when the engine is off, once running the pedal
sinks to the floor.

Check for front loose wheel bearings if one or both are loose will cause brake pedal to go to floor.

Wow thanks All thease years I thought that the brake fluid system was a closed system. I never new that it ran through the wheel hub,,!,,..kinda silly of me...I.ll take the wheels off immediately and repack the front bearings and tighten it to the correct speck...insert the cotter pin to lock it in place....I should be all set...I,ll also repack the muffler bearings as long as were on the subject,,!,,,,Thanks again,,!,,I,ll be sure to tell the world of your great expertise,,!,,,!,,
