Sadly I have the same problem. I have also been looking for an answer. My first thought was fuel filter/fuel pump. I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0 liter with 4wd automatic. Has never given me a problem until today. Upon researching others with this problem I have found that it seems they have skipped simple and tried everything else. Still looking for answers, but will try a few no/low cost solutions first. I saw that it could be due to the computer, the bolts/hexscrews are too long, one of the connectors from the computer can wiggle/be loose. The fixes for that seem easy enough. I am also going to look into the fuel pump/filter as well.
