I have a 2000 grand Jeep Cherokee limited edition.
It cranks but won't start. It sounds like it backfires
out if the manifold sounds like tin cans. We
replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, crankshaft. I'm
am clueless. Anyone have any ideas

Have you checked the timing? Sounds like intake valves are open when trying to spark
