1999 Mitsubishi Spyder - no reverse, now only drives in 2. Do I need a new tranny?

Have you checked the transmission fluid level? It may simply be low fluid level, if not you will have a more serious issue and the transmission may need overhauling or replacing.

Nope. A rebuilt tranny will work.
