I have a 2002 subaru forester at idle with the car tube in i have 40 psi and with the vac tube off at 50 psi do I need a new pressure regulator cause the specs say 30/34 psi with Jose on in idle??

my 2005 suburu forester has 53,000 original miles on it and I am the original owner. The car has had its routine services by the dealer since I bought it new. Recently my check engine light and cruise control green light flashing with the AT oil temp coming on after driving over 50 mph.
