88 f 250 wheels

I have an 88 f250.  I'm looking to put newer bigger
wheels on it.  Would the new f250 20" wheels fit?  I
have a lead on a set of 2012 f 250 wheels but
they're 20".  Right now I have 17 inch wheels on it
and I don't want to buy it they won't fit.

I'm sure they would fit. What it is that the profile of the tire gets smaller in-order to keep the same diameter tire that the truck calls for.
