Identify a hose

This hose looks dry rotted it’s literally falling apart.
What is this hose for and will it make my truck run
bad? I have included a picture with it circled in
hilighter

Ford uses these weird foam vacuum hoses. My truck has them too. If they leak air there will be a problem.

It's part of the EVAP system mine was completely rotted and cracked. I could drive fine but there was a lack of power and it needed to be fixed before I smogged the vehicle since it resulted in an EVAP leak code. It's a pretty simple task to replace.
