Carb choke

Got new carb for my 69 Galaxie convertible
the old carb had an Electric choke that was
not hooked up new carb has a line that
plugs into the exhaust but exhaust has no
hole to  connected it can I drill hole or
change choke to Electric and where do I
supply power for electric choke thanks

I would use the electric choke. All you need is a fused line that switches on when the engine starts. You should be able to buy an electric choke conversion for your new carb.
