1970 500 xl convertible fuel gage not working. Where's the sender located? Fuses under dash okay.

I believe the sender is in the tank, It sould one wire coming off it. if i remember corrctly its located under the car on the front side of the tank.

Doesn't solve the problem. How does one access it and or change it.

you gotta drop the tank - i have the same problem on my 69XL 429-- i have narrowed it down to the printed circut board in the dash, after replacing the sender , resistor and checking out the gauge -- hope this helps
