How to replace 4WD Wiring Harness on a 1994 Sub

Asked by ondaneone Apr 21, 2010 at 10:49 AM about the 1994 Chevrolet Suburban

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The folks at Firestone said the 25 amp fused for the 4WD blows up when the 4WD is engaged and it craps out...

How difficult is it to replace the wiring harness?

Any input is highly appreciated.

It's most likely a thermal actuator fault on the front axle if there really is a fault. That seems like a small fuse for thermals, check to see if that is the right amperage.
