Reference to 1938 Buick Roaodmaster in Stephen Hunters' Book Havana,
refers to 4 pissholes on the side. What is a pisshole in this meaning ?

The correct term is portholes. A Buick trademark was porthole style ornaments on both front fenders of the car. Originally if the car was a six cylinder there were three portholes on each fender. If it was an eight cylinder there were four portholes. Hope that helps! Jim

That is correct, my Dad was always on the lookout for the four porthole Buicks. He liked them and the Cadillacs.
