there was the 225 v6 1Bbl the 300 v8 2Bbl and 4Bbl

buick and olds used somekind of aluminum engine back then, it wasn't really big(cid), like 22? or 23?, it was a "V" something or other. i don't think it was a 326, pontiac made a 326, then it morphed into a 350, then i think a 389, then maybe a 400, a 421, 428, then a 455.

i believe its a 300 or 400 nailhead v8

The engine in question is an aluminum head iron V8 that displaced 300 c.i.d.
