the engine needs fuel, check line pressure its a pump most likely

Here's the kicker, my buddy I got it from said they replaced the fuel pump about a year ago and a week later it was still having the same issue. It stays running for a good 10-15 minutes, well Idleing and if I try and put it in drive it dies.

if it is a cheap pump? they do not last. ok after the truck doesnt start, try letting pressure out of the fuel rail under the hood on top of motor, then turn key to run position, not start and listen to see if the pump turns on? if it does and you can hear it run and it still doesnt start? then it could be starter over heating. also check and replace starter relay and fuel pump relay or test them. also did they change the fuel filter? that if clogged will burn out new pump. ok back to if you do not hear fuel pump run after you re-leaved thefuel pressure on fuel line on top of motor. then have a friend pounf on bottom of tank while you are turning or trying to start the truck, if it then starts then you have another bad fuel pump
