Relays number 45 & 46

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Low beams haven’t worked in a long time.
Swapping positions with relays number 45 & 46
fixed the problem. Can I leave it like this? Will this
cause any problems?

Likely you can leave it like this. Just watch your engine temperature, as #45 controls the fan.

I have found that if you leave it like this, the "Fan" relay 45, will NOT function properly and your AC will stop cooling on seriously hot days, when you are stopped like say at a restaurant or something where you might idle for a few mins or leave your pet in the car with it running, do not trust this, get that relay replaced you can find them under $50 but it will also cause your ac to eventually prematurely need replacement. Don't come at me y'all, this is exactly what happened with my 04 TB EXT LS, and I just remembered I had swapped them a few years back so my light would work. It's not worth it other than to maybe make it to a parts store to get the relay new ac system cost me over 700 for parts luckily I know how and have the equipment to do it myself otherwise it would have been over 2k for the new system install...
