I have a 2007 cadillac cts with about 80,000 miles its hesitating the engine light is on and making a funny grinding noise. Already had a tune up done, and the ignition coil replaced. help!

Gee didn't they perform a computer check when the tune up was done? I would have done that before even attempting a tune up. You need to get those trouble codes, that is why the check engine light is on.

Supposedly they did thats why the ignition coil waa changed. The engine light was off then about 20 min later it popped back on

20 minutes is just about the time it takes for the ECM relearn cycle after it has had a hard reset procedure done, usually it is performed if the system has a lot of codes and most of them are invalid or not listed, it should have been road tested after it was performed then rechecked. Sounds like they just didn't follow through with the diagnosis. Sometimes you have to fix 1 code at a time, reset and do it all over again, especially if there are grounding issues.
