My 1971 Pontiac Lemans 350 starts and runs great in park. As soon as I shift the Turbo 350 transmission into gear, the engine will quickly fade and stall. I can power brake to keep rpm up and get the car moving. Plus it shifts a bit hard from 1 to 2, could this be a vacuum modulator issue?
or a torque converter clutch.
more like a vacuum problem, intake gaskets or vac hose leaking
