Short in dash on 69 Lemans Convert.

On a pink dbl black wire, the black wire is getting extremely hot.  What is this
particular wire for.  Also my blinks are on full time, unless I unplug this wire. Help!

you definitely have a short somewhere , check the bulbs & make sure they are installed properly. make sure there is nothing grounded to that pink & black wire. getting a wiring diagram would be helpful.
