Will a 400 CI motor (7- - 80) bolt directly to my '61 Bonniville auto trans?

Asked by May 30, 2007 at 07:09 PM about the 1961 Pontiac Bonneville

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 1961 Pontiac Bonniville with a tired 398. I want to replace the 389 motor with a 400 CI motor. My question is my stock (recently rebult) transmission a direct bolt up to the 400 motor.
