Overfill motor oil

I put 5 qts.in my 86 nissan hardbody and it's too
much, should I take some out?

Yes you would want to take some out. I bet it takes 4.5 quarts to fill. Just going to have to pull the drain plug and let some out. You do not want to be over full because the engine will start pushing the oil out threw the seals.
