turbo and supercharger

so you want to run both.....i run a turbo and a small shot of NOS to stop the lag...so much easier..and a bunch of money will be saved..

Not as much lag if you build pressure on the launch... Anyway, it could probably work. Volvo does it on the newer S60, XC60, and XC90. Just do proper tuning.

Hello, I owe and old Volvo 740 1987, engine B230K with only 105.000 Km on the road. I live in Costa Rica with many mountains. Now that Superchargers are not any more a kind of "novelty" can some of you give me a hint where can I find a kit made for my car or some other solution. At my almost 90 evidently my purpose is not for racing.

I don't think there is an assembled supercharger kit for any B230. You could +T it fairly easily with junkyard parts if you're working on a budget, but that's about all you could do to add forced induction semi-reliably.

Thank you very much for your kind answer and suggestion. In Costa Rica, which I made my home country, there are not junkyards with Volvo parts nor have I, fortunately, budget problems. Now my idea is purchase an "Universal" supercharger kit by HKS USA, but if you can recommend an other supplier it would be very much welcomed, and then contact one of the mechanics who "prepare" cars for racing and ask his cooperation to mount the system. I will keep informed, this site, about the results, either positive or negative. I final note, I am, at almost 90, evidently, not looking for racing purposes but just increase aro 20 to 30% the engine power which in a country with many mountains, would make riding more pleasant.

Your best bet would be to get in contact with HKS directly and tell them what you'd like to do. Like I said, I don't think there are any companies that make supercharger kits purpose-made for this engine. You could also look into Vortech Superchargers, they may be able to help put together a kit.
