will a 1986 jeep cherokee engine fit into my 1985 jeep cherokee? both 2.8l v6

I did put a 1988 2.8 v6 Camaro engine fuel injected in my 1986 jeep Cherokee 2.8 I had to swap some parts out but it went smooth , you should keep both until running.
