Volkswagon Cabrio oil cap stuck how to unscrew it?

My oil cap does not screw off either clock or counterclockwise. I can if I leave it running is this normal as i was told it was easy and it is not. Can you help?

Hello, Yuck! I would recommend getting a tool to remove the oil cap. You can try one of these: http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&gbv=2&q=strap+tool+jar+opener&btnG=Search. A friend of mine who had a similar problem recommends the strap one. Once you get the cap off, be sure to wipe both the cap and the container top thoroughly to help it not stick again. Best of luck!
