I have a 1996 sl2 replaced the tranny now when it shifts from 3rd to overdrive theres a violent jerk is there a way to ajust this?

I replaced all 4 seals its leaking out of the driverside CV axel & when shifting from 3rd to overdrive theres a violent jerk, could that have medded up that seal & is there a way th ajust the shifter cable?

so the trans is only slamming from 3rd to 4th?
