My oil light came on car sputtered then died.Pullrd over shut off asap.Is it likely the engine is blown?

Let's just be positive here- you did great by shutting it off as soon as you could- your engine will be fine- just have it towed in to your favorite mechanic, smile a little, and ask for help- because you are conscientious, your karma will be good- ooommmmmmm
