Question type: Car Customization

ive got a 96 with the 5.9, its got over 223,000 miles on her, still runnin great, but i wanna get it rebuilt before i blow it up. any suggstions as to what i should put in? other than the oversize injectors and the jet chip, its stock, id like to gain a little more horsepower, its not necissarily an off road truck, but it aint no asphalt princess, but i also use it to haul, so im at a loss as to where i wanna go with the rebuild, i want the torque to pull shit like i already have, but id also like to go a little bit faster that 105 lol

Get a mopar performance catalog. They have various suggested packages listed. Stuff they know works together. In general however. Get a Mopar Perfomance intake. Updated performance throttle body and headers. That will wake it up and should really be enough. Maybe add a computer chip and/or performance upgrade.

well i dont really want to spend anything lol. i really dont know what i wana spend, i just know if im going to keep driving this truck id like to keep it running longer, with my job, i drive quite often, im not home very much, and the last few trips to denver co. ive noticed that when i buy gas in silverthorne i get really great mileage, my truck doesnt have any problems gettin up and goin, but when i buy it near where i live it doesnt necissarily run like shit, but it seems tired and worn out. thanks danny, any recomendations on a chip? right now i have the jet pcm that was in the truck when i bought it, and also not 100% sure why, but if i dont have the chip in, my truck runs horribly bad, like a diesel with no glo plugs lol, i was told my truck had oversize injectors put in it, 3 owners ago...but i wasnt sure if the chip and injectors were like a kit or whatever?
