1990 Lesabre wont start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1990 Buick Lesabre does nothing when you
turn the key. The dash lights come on. Battery says
12.68 volts. Turn key the volts go to 10.64
Help please. It will start with a jump but wont again
if you turn it off.

If the car starts with a jump, I would say the battery is old and weak and need replacing, but have an auto part store test it under load first to verify.

Thank you. Thata what I was thinking. The car has been sitting for a awhile. I'm go na head out to get a new battery.
