how do you reset the theft deterrent sytem?

I have a 1987 toyota cressida with a factory theft deterrent system. w could not turn off the alarm in time before the cut start system kicked in.  So now the car won't start at all. anybody know how to reset it  or how to get rid of that option completely? i can be reached at camokaraoke@yahoo.com thanks for anything you can tell me.

Hi camokaraoke! You need to contact your local Toyota dealer. he will seek your VIN# and then outline the steps for resetting your anti-theft system. Getting rid of that option is a bit more complicated but he can give you those options as well. Good luck!

You can dissconnect your brain (under driverside kick panel there will be three) then disconnect your battery. Wait 12-24 hours and reconnect your brain first then battery and it will start.
