How much can I sell my 1984 camry for?
I have a 84 camry that i want to sell. It has a few mechanical issues and a few cosmetic issues. Otherwise has been a good car. Has 125,000 miles. Not sure what to price it
IMO, Don't expect much for it. A few mechanical issues? Is it inspected and roadworthy? If so price it at 1K and hope someone offers you $500.
It actually depends on what market you want to target. If mechanical/ cosmetic issues mean no inspection sticker, than do the math for repair for a local buyer. A local buyer probably is just looking for a cheap car that can be inspected. But, for your car, 125k is like middle age. A lot of minor things will fail, and the parts are nearly impossible to find anymore, but your engine should be in great shape if you maintained the car all this time. In other words, it's a much better parts car than a driving car. And yeah, that's worth money. I'd go on some Toyota forums and see if anyone is interested. It's of course a great old car. Someone might be looking to buy just what you have, just to cannibalize it. At worst, donate the car for a tax break and to help a charity you like.
Mine is one owner 55 k mi. Always garaged or covered body finish,9/10 interior 10/10. Well loved a bit quirky but so are we! Know it has a value and time to down size. Driven monthly but just for nostalgia! We both loved it 1 st new car for us as couple. Many cars since but owr 1st together car! So?
