My 1986 covette has an overdrive problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car will go into overdrive only sometimes... most the time it dos not... mite
work for a 1/2 a day and then stop working for weeks.. The last time it went in
I don't think I even pushed the button? Just randomly in gaged .......anyone
????
