my transmission takes a while to shift

it takes a while before my gear shifts from first to second

Hello, This hesitation could be caused by many different things. If the transmission has never been replaced, it may be time for a replacement. Depending on how many miles you have on the car, the hesitation may be the first sign of a dying tranny. I'd recommend bringing it to a local mechanic just to make sure. Best of luck! CarGrrl
