2007 suburban how to reset the service 4WD light?

If you fix the problem the light will probably go out. If all you want to do is turn off the light use a bit of black tape ;)

It needs to be cleared so that it can work and accept new parts.

Has anyone ever thought of advising them to check the transfer case fluid level. There is a distinct possibility that the fluid level may be low in the transfer case in which case I .probably wouldn’t advise black tape maybe a service center somewhere maybe a boyfriend maybe a husband but not black tape.
