If you turned the key differently and it started I would start my search at the ignition switch.

PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL, CONNECT A BATTERY+ TO THE SMALL IGNITION WIRE ON THE STARTER ITSELF, THEN TOUCH IT TO + IF THE CAR START ITS YOUR IGNITION THAT WENT BAD.

Try starting it in neutral. Be very careful touching hot wires to things.
