Can I use a 1.6 ECU on a 2l non turbo

Hi, I have a 1.6 2002 bugeye and want to swap a 2
l non turbo into it, can I run it of the 1.6 ECU ??

Some ECMs are interchangeable, but may not support all functions. Best to match INCLUDING alpha-numeric code written on cover.
