Auto Parts Stores (i.e. Pep Boys) or eBay would be good places to look for a Chilton or Haynes Repair Manual for your car.

The power steering pump should have a belt on it- that is what drives it and pumps it up- since you know that it has fluid you have found the pump- the pump has a pulley on it and on that pully should be some kinda belt being driven off another pully, usually on the bottom front of the engine- now, if your car has a serpentine belt (a single belt) instead of 3 or 4 V belts, I'm gonna start gettin' real confused here, little missy, and the old man will have to go take some of his medications- let me know 'bout the belt

I own a 2004 grand am, and I too have a hard time finding a repair manual, I may have to use the 2003 edition, I don't think there's much difference.

Well, I picked up the manual that covers 1999-2003 multiple makes and models which include the Pontiac Grand Am from Advance Auto for $5.95 ( Normally about $20 ) because they are clearing them all out. No longer going to be able to buy Haynes or Chilton manuals in the near future. They are a combined company now and will be going all digital. If you ever have to replace the heater core in an 04 good luck. The Haynes for the 03 are similar but things are different, and I still have not got my heater core out yet. Been working on it for 3 weeks now.
