2005 Nissan Sentra spits and sputters from 40 mph and up
Todayt my Sentra started spitting and sputtering when it reacheed 40 mph and
above.U&nder 40 mph it runs as well as ever. It will sputter when climbing a hill. Also the
a/c stoppe blowing cold and the ctuise has sropped working too. Is all this related? It has
been a good car 328 thousand miles. What could be the problem?
Is it also sputtering when accelerating rapidly? Is the check engine lit? If yes, get the code. It could be a misfire because of your spark plugs/wires or coil or a faulty MAF. It could also be a dirty MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor). It could use a cleanup with MAF cleaner ONLY. It you have a code, it can save you time. And to be sure, has your air filter been changed these last years?
