Buying a 2014 Lexus GS 350 from a Private seller...
A lexus GS 350 2014 for $26,000 from a private seller. It has around 24K miles.
What do you guys think? The best price I have seen for a '14. I just found the
listing and will be contacting the seller.
Sounds good, however I would have a shop check it out, believe me that is money well spent especially if they do find something that maybe even the owner didn't even know, also might run a CarFax just to be on the safe side. I assume it has a clear title.
Pretty sure it has a clear title. Once I check it out, I'll run a car fax and if the owner lets me, I'll take it to a shop. Thanks!
If the owner refuses to have it checked out, run, they are hiding something.
That's right, Tom. I'll update on how it goes once I see the car.
Having a clear title is very important too, as mentioned above. If this vehicle still has a lein against it or is about to be repossessed, run away from it. Ask to actually see the title. It should have the seller's name and the words "encumbrance satisfied" stamped on it with a signature and date. This releases the lein/loan on the vehicle and the seller then owns it free and clear. Make sure the title does not say rebuilder, rebuilt or salvage. Sometimes this is the hidden reason a vehicle is low priced. And follow the other advise posted above.
