Grand Cherokee 5.2 4x4 1996 won't turn on.

Have the battery tested , scan for codes , I'm thinking that jeep's seen better days and I wouldn't put any more money into it ,sign your life away on a car so you can go to work to pay for a car .

The Jeep's 27 years old and I suspect that the alternator just died; common in Jeeps. I understand that you're strapped for cash, but without knowledge of vehicles, avoiding a mechanic is far more destructive to your wallet than getting a vehicle properly serviced. You would have been down for a day. Now with the idiocy of what you're doing, you're down much longer and stressed over it. In the end, repairs are going to cost you the same anyway.
