how can I prevent a cadillac srx from starting up? old owner wants to escape!

hit him in the head with a not-so-ripe avacado, an organic way to solve your problem

Install a battery lockout which uses a key to turn on and off. The only drawback is all clocks and some memory devices may lose their settings. Keep key in safe place.
