You should get that into a shop to be looked at. Could be bad wheel bearings, or locked up brake calipers. You could jack the front end up and see if you can spin the wheels.

I did take it to a car dealership servuce center and they couldnt find anything on why its not accelerating, but they did find a bad ball joint.I dont know if that has anything to do with it not accelerating thiugh.

Is the check engine light on? Should have the vehicle scanned for any trouble codes. An auto parts store can do this. Write the codes down. This would help.

I’m here at a dealer now. Same issue. Won’t accelerate like no matter how much gas is given. No check engine light appearing.

I have a 2016 compass. So I did find out that I had a bad bearing. They no longer make the O ring and had to replace the knuckle ‍♀️ I had to drive 4 hours to the dealer I purchased the Jeep to find this out. They all kept saying I wasn’t covered. I have the extended warranty. It took driving fours to find out they spelt my last name wrong. All I know is something still isn’t right and this car is the devil . That said I noticed the acceleration issue when I was low on gas. I don’t let it go past a half tank if I can help it. PS: My mechanic didn’t understand why the stabilizer bar and control arms needed to be replaced on a car that’s a 2016 and had 27,000 miles on it.

Might need the master computer thing updated. I have a 2018 and it did the same thing to me in Virginia while I was visiting my son who was in AIT for the military. Unfortunately I have had nothing but issues with mine and I bought it new.

Electric throttle control. Need to reset the electrical. I don't use my automatic start. I suspect it throws the etc for a loop
