mazda 6 2010 check engine light comes on stays on for a while and then shuts off? when i go to get it tested the engine light is off please help....

Have it checked anyway. A code can be stored whether or not the light stays on. Could very well be an evap code. Check to make sure your gas cap is on tight.

That's right, every time that light comes on the ECM stores the code or codes and hangs on to them, the only time the ECM will loose a code on it's own is if after approxmently 10 key starts and the ECM no longer sees an problem in that time then it will erase the code. So get it checked, a lot of parts stores have the ability to do this and it is free.
