Car fuel duration in a car tank

Hi!I wanted to know how long can one keep fuel in a car tank before the fuel
goes bad and does damage to a car?

I've had premium grade fuel keep for over a year with no problem. With a lower grade, stabilizer is a very good idea!! Hope that helps! Jim

If the fuel is kept cool it will last longer. If the car sits out in the hot sun I would not go 6 months.
