My engine light came on... how long do i have until it starts flashing?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My engine light came on with the cruise flashing and the no traction light on as well. I called so far every place to see if they can look at it but they are all booked until another week or so. I'm worried that it will go out on me while I'm driving to work or something. This is my only transportation and I work 30 mins away. I would love some as to if I'm ok until my apt and I have nothing to worry bout. This is my first car... so I might just be over reacting but I would love some peace of mind.

More than likely it is your traction control doing this, but should be ok,shut traction control to off untill you can get it checked out.
